Passives & Intrinsic Mechanics
4 Intrinsic Traits ActiveDomain Amplification
Control's abilities vary in terms of being inside or outside their Domain. Outside of it (Base Mode), the player can use a separate moveset consisting of only X, C and F, while inside of it the player can use two other movesets (Fist and Dagger Modes), which both include all moves each. They also gain new animations for Air Jumps, Dashes, and Flash Steps alongside buffs for them, shown here with buffed movement. While inside of the domain, the attacks for the Koko sword are all heavily buffed.
Mode Meter
Having a Domain active gives the user a Meter on their fruit slot. This meter shows which mode (Dagger or Fist) the user is on, and also shows progress for meter required to use V held (requires full meter). Going outside of the Domain doesn't affect the meter, but if the Domain deactivates, the meter too resets and disappears, reappearing in the next use. Meter is gained passively at a fixed rate, and landing moves or getting hit by moves doesn't increase or decrease meter gain.
Anti-Drowning Protocol
The user creates hexagonal platforms they can stand on each time they touch the sea. This passive does not cost Energy and domain activation is not necessary. However, Dash distance is decreased (could be a bug or an issue with the hitboxes).
Slicing Execution
Base and Dagger mode moves as well as V do not kill the enemy like most other fruits/weapons do. The enemy is bisected horizontally, revealing a neon-bluish cross-section. Due to this, enemies do not lose all of their HP once defeated through Dagger Mode or Base Mode.
Canonical Moveset & Combat Abilities
6 Abilities AvailableDomain Control
The user assumes a stance, being surrounded by two daggers and text resembling UI on their screen, creating a large spherical area (the Domain) indicated by an intangible tinted blue barrier having a pattern consisting of constantly shifting hexagonal tiles. If an enemy is close enough to the user when the domain is activated, then they will be stunned for a short period of time and be dealt a low amount of damage, with their body being disassembled and reassembled. Air Jumps, Dashes and Flash Steps are buffed when the user is inside the domain. Having a domain active reveals a Domain Meter. Holding the move anywhere deactivates the domain. Being outside of the domain for a certain amount of time will automatically deactivate the domain. Holding the move when creating the domain does not increase the size of it.
Levitate
The user summons a cube out of the surface they tapped/clicked on. The user can select a singular or multiple cubes to throw at the designated area. The user can also use F on a cube to supercharge it, making it deal 50% more damage. The cubes remain dormant for 15 seconds before self-destructing and becoming unusable.
Transmutation
The user throws out one of their daggers which teleports them to the area the dagger landed at. If hit, the user unleashes a series of skillful slashes, knocking the enemy away and disassembling their body. The damage is increased by roughly 50% while inside the domain.
Slice N' Dice
The user dashes forward. If hit, the user teleports behind the enemy, sending out a slash toward them that blitzes them and disassembles their body. If landed, the move will automatically turn the user's camera by 180°, which is useful to land combos. After the attack, their body reassembles, dealing good damage.
Gamma Blade
The user spins a dagger in their hand. When released, the dagger is thrown forward and slices horizontally, pulling opponents. The user is free to move anywhere and once the dagger reaches maximum distance, a crosshair appears on the user. This indicates and ensures that no matter where, the affected opponent will be pulled toward the user at M1 range. If the dagger hits objects such as trees, they will get vertically split apart.
Total Concentration
This move can only be used in the Domain created by the user. If tapped, the Domain turns purple, and slightly damaging cubes rise from below. After a short startup, the user dashes forward and leaves a purple trail. If hit, the enemy is hard-stunned; the camera zooms out; the user continuously bounces off summoned cubes, dealing good tick damage to all opponents inside the Domain. After ~4 seconds, the camera pans back to the user who then sends two large, crossed purple slashes towards the initial enemy hit, pushing them forward and destroying the Domain. The user is invincible during the duration of this move. If missed, the Domain walls remain purple for a moment and are not destroyed, and the only damage dealt is by the summoned cubes.
